Google have recently upgraded Google Trends. To be honest I can't quite recall what it used to look like - but it's a kinda funky way of seeing how different terms rank.
I was interested to compare "gay" and "porn". And was somewhat surprised to see "cock" was way down there. Sadly, "gay geeks" doesn't have enough data to actually show me a result.
Here's a good sample sample for you to try......
Stats
meninlove asked:
A question for the floor....do these stats include searches such as
'abolish gay marriage' or 'gay is wrong' or 'cure for gay' etc? Because
then the stats are even less of a barometer.
Well .. I believe in that instance that they were searches for the individual word. If you wanted to see the trends for 'abolish gay marriage', you'd have to pop that in to the trend box on its own.
stats are stats
.....and can be interpreted in alot of different ways. For example central and south america show more traffic on the word gay than porn. Does it mean anything? Personally, I feel that it doesn't signify anything much other than the issue of gay being very big in North America right now. Naturally, alot of people will be looking up all things gay. It also occurred to me that the stats don't look at how many repeated searches come from the same user. Or if a certain demographic is constantly repeating their search!

haha Geeks Might be implicit gay?!
haha well, I've heard such stupid things that since str8 geeks can't get to get girls, they spend all their times with other geeks..so the should decide if they're lonely loosers or implicit gays hahah Can you believe it?!!!
Remember that as a old perverted monster from Avenue Q says, "The Internet is for porn!!!!" so men & women (gay,str8,bi or whatever) search that word more than any other
